For Steve's work with Haworth Primary School in teaching the children how to grow their own vegetables, taking them into the school kitchen, helping the cook to prepare them and eating them as part of school meals.
Steve received his award from Jamie Oliver at the Good Food Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

Literally helped to grow hundreds of community minded children, who now know the feeling of giving to others. Helped them win over 20 trophies at local flower and vegetable shows. Won Yorkshire in Bloom's Sir Richard Graham Youth Enterprise Award four times and gaining Gold Standard for the past 3 years. Helped them to become a flagship school for the Food for Life Partnership in 2008 and become the only school in the Bradford district to gain Eco Green Flag status.
